Looking for information on UNESCO and the World Heritage Sites?
You will hear all about them during a comfortable ride in the
Bettmeralp-Bettmerhorn gondola.
Serengeti, Yellowstone, the Galapagos, the Great Barrier Reef, and Jungfrau-Aletsch: the World Heritage List unites them all.
 Ice Room
The fascinating history of the Aletsch glacier - presented in a multi-media show in the „Ice Room“ (mountain restaurant)
opening times: every hour, daily from 9.15 am to 4 pm
 Ice Terrasse
On the „Ice Terrasse“ (3 minutes walk from the mountain restaurant)you'll enjoy a clear view of the longest glacier in the Alps. An interactive panorama will provide you with an abundance of information about the giant ice formation.
Four deck chairs with an audio installation whisk guests into the wonderful world of the glacier with quotations from poets and writers. The deck chairs tempt you to relax, enjoy the sun and listen. An interactive panorama with a large outdoor touch screen displays views of and from the Aletsch Glacier and entertains you with information about phenomena involving the icy giant.

Multimedia Exhibition "Eiswelt Bettmerhorn"
Follow the trail of an Ice Age explorer and enter the fascinating world of glaciers - discover at first hand the secrets of the largest glacier in the Alps! Help to find the missing professor. The tour takes you past a total of nine scenes with talking figures and authentic-looking settings. You will meet explorers and tourists from the 19th century, an old lady called
Old Schmidtja and even a glacier flea. You will cross a crevasse and discover plenty of interesting facts about the glacier. Equipped with an expedition and puzzle book, children will find the tour especially exciting an fun to explore!

Children's gondola
A glacier table in front of the gondola (a former aerial cable car cabin) invites kids to try out their balancing skills. In the gondola the children can get in touch with Gletschi, the Great Aletsch Glacier, and learn something about its life. Children's books and comfy cushions will tempt them to linger and browse around.
