Welcome to the Bettmerhorn/Great Aletsch Glacier Experience, the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.

Bettmeralp Bahnen AG is a leisure organizer that focuses on the adventures of MOUNTAINS, NATURE AND CULTURE. The state-of-the-art sports facilities, the inviting mountain restaurant and the "EISWELT BETTMERHORN" (World of Ice) exhibition as well as the "Art on Aletsch" art exhibition all contribute to providing you with a unique mountain adventure.

Slowly but surely you'll float up to Bettmeralp in only 7 minutes, initially with the aerial cable car from Betten valley station to Bettmeralp (1,938 meters [6,358 feet] above sea level). After a short walk (or ride with the electric bus) you'll reach the gondola, which will take you comfortably to the Bettmerhorn (2,647 meters [8,694 feet]), where you'll enjoy a fantastic view of the Great Aletsch Glacier (UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site) and the Valais and Bernese Alps.

At the Bettmerhorn mountain restaurant with its unique crystalline architecture you'll be pampered with a variety of culinary delights.

At the themed summer exhibition "EISWELT BETTMERHORN", you'll enjoy exciting, entertaining and informative presentations on glaciology.
